I feel small when I say ‘NO’ to someone in need. I feel small when I lie. I feel small when I act cold. I feel small when I don’t fulfill promises. I feel small when I fight mindlessly. I feel small when I don’t trust love. I feel small when I give up on myself. I feel small when I feed my fears. I feel small when I don’t share….
But, I don’t feel small when I deeply acknowledge all the wrong I do. I don’t feel small when I think of myself as an ordinary human being who can make mistakes. I don’t feel small amidst my vulnerabilities. I don’t feel small when I look at Almighty and say, “I am sorry. I won’t repeat this”. I don’t feel small when I see that tiny window of redemption and I seek out. I don’t feel small when I tell my parents, ‘Let me try again’. I don’t feel small when I cry. I don’t feel small when I start to believe in love again…
The thing about being REAL is, there is a constant in-congruence that leaves you perplexed and as you keep connecting one cord with the other, you gradually start finding your answers.
